What is a canary yellow diamond?

Canary is the popular name for a bright, strongly saturated yellow diamond. It is a trade term rather than a grade, so it does not appear on a grading report. The grades closest to it are Fancy Intense Yellow and Fancy Vivid Yellow. For that look, choose a ring graded Fancy Vivid Yellow, such as the pear double halo, the heart halo or the radiant hidden halo solitaire. Each product page names its grade.

How is a yellow diamond's color graded?

Yellow diamonds are graded on the fancy color scale, which looks at hue, tone and saturation together. From soft to strong, the main grades are Fancy Light Yellow, Fancy Yellow, Fancy Intense Yellow and Fancy Vivid Yellow. Every yellow diamond on this page is graded either Fancy Yellow, a clear and moderate yellow, or Fancy Vivid Yellow, the brightest and most saturated grade.

Is a lab grown yellow diamond a real diamond?

Yes. A lab grown yellow diamond is real diamond, identical in every physical and optical property to a mined yellow diamond. It is not cubic zirconia, citrine or yellow sapphire, which are different materials. Ours are grown with CVD technology, with an Excellent cut and VVS-VS clarity, and every ring is made to order in Surat, India.

Which yellow diamond engagement ring styles can I choose?

For a pear center, choose a double halo, a three stone ring with white pear side stones or a halo with trapezoid side stones. Radiant centers come in a double halo, a halo on a pave band, a hidden halo solitaire and a three stone ring with white baguettes. You can also choose an asscher with trillion or heart shaped side stones, an oval with heart shaped side stones or a heart halo, and for a wedding or anniversary band, a slim eternity band of yellow ovals.

Should a yellow diamond be set in yellow gold or white gold?

Both work well, and the metal changes the look. White gold and platinum give crisp contrast, so the yellow looks bright and clean. Yellow gold makes the stone look warmer and deeper. Every ring here comes in 9K, 14K or 18K solid gold in white, yellow or rose, in platinum or in 925 sterling silver.

Do yellow lab grown diamonds come with an IGI certificate?

Every lab grown diamond of 1 carat or more is IGI certified, and every yellow center stone on this page is 1 carat or larger. The oval eternity band has no center stone. Every stone is under 1 carat, so this band does not carry a single-stone certificate.
