The centre stones are Real CVD Lab-Grown Diamonds in VVS-VS clarity and the D-E-F Colorless range, grown using Chemical Vapor Deposition technology. Because the oval's elongated table leaves more of the stone visible, that clarity grade does more visible work here than it does in a smaller, busier cut.

Is a lab grown diamond suitable for an engagement ring?
Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond. It measures 10 on the Mohs hardness scale exactly as a mined stone does, so it handles daily wear the same way. The only difference is origin and price.
What is the difference between a lab grown diamond and moissanite?
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond, identical in every physical and optical property to a mined one. Moissanite is a separate gemstone. It is slightly softer at 9.25 on the Mohs scale, throws more coloured fire, and costs considerably less. We label every ring clearly so you always know which stone you are buying.
Why does an oval look bigger than a round diamond of the same weight?
Carat is weight, not size. The oval distributes that weight across a longer, shallower footprint, so more of the stone faces upward. A 2 carat oval measures roughly 9mm by 7mm while a 2 carat round measures about 8.1mm across.
What clarity and colour are Ronora's oval diamonds?
Every oval lab grown diamond we set is VVS-VS clarity (VVS1 or VVS2 wherever available, VS1 only when neither is) in the D-E-F Colorless range. We do not stock lower clarity or colour grades, so there is no upgrade tier to negotiate.
Are these ovals IGI certified?
Every lab grown diamond of 1 carat or more is IGI certified, and the certificate ships with the ring. Smaller accent and pave stones are not individually certified, which is standard practice across the industry.
