Halo Rings | Lab Grown Diamond | VVS CVD

A halo is a ring of small diamonds set around a larger centre stone. Its purpose is optical: the halo blurs the boundary of the centre stone so the eye reads the whole cluster as one diamond, which typically makes a centre stone appear a half to a full carat larger than it is. Ronora lab grown diamonds are real CVD stones, VVS clarity, D-E-F colorless; a small number of halo rings here are set with moissanite, stated on each product page.

How much larger does a halo make a diamond look?

Roughly half a carat to a full carat in apparent size, depending on how tightly the halo sits and how large the surrounding stones are. This is why a halo is the most cost-effective way to get visual scale without paying for centre carat weight.

What is the difference between a halo and a hidden halo?

A visible halo sits on the same plane as the centre stone and is seen from above. A hidden halo sits underneath, beneath the girdle, and is only visible from the side. A hidden halo adds light and a detail worth finding without changing the ring's outline from the top.

Frequently asked questions

Is a halo harder to clean? Slightly. More stones means more settings for residue to collect in. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush once a week keeps a halo bright.

Does a halo suit every shape? It works with all of them, but it has the strongest effect on round, oval and cushion, where the halo can follow the outline closely.

The Amplifier Setting

The Amplifier Setting

A halo's ring of small diamonds must follow the center stone's outline exactly. Ours are built around each stone individually, not stamped from a generic frame.

The halo multiplies the look, the IGI certificate anchors the truth: your center stone's exact cut, color, clarity, and carat, in writing.

The Full-Carat Illusion

The Full-Carat Illusion

A halo makes a one carat center read like nearly two. Stack that on lab grown pricing and the hand math becomes almost unfair.

How much bigger does a halo make a diamond look?

Typically half a carat to nearly a full carat larger in visual impact, because the eye reads the whole sparkling cluster as one stone.

Does a halo work with every diamond shape?

Beautifully with all of them. Round and oval halos are classics, pear and marquise halos trace those dramatic outlines into something unforgettable.

Is a halo ring harder to maintain?

It collects a little more everyday film than a solitaire, and a soft brush with soapy water restores it in minutes. Fair trade for the effect.

Halo or bigger center stone, which is smarter?

At lab grown prices you often can do both. If forced to choose: the halo gives more visual size per rupee, the bigger center gives more presence unadorned.

Is the center stone certified separately from the halo?

Yes, the eligible center carries its own IGI certificate, and the halo stones are matched to its grade around it.

How soon can a halo ring be delivered?

Built to order in 7 to 10 business days, then insured shipping with tracking to your door.
