Pave Rings | Lab Grown Diamond | VVS CVD

Pave is a setting technique, not a diamond shape. Small stones are set close together in tiny beads of metal so the surface reads as continuous light rather than as individual diamonds, and the French word means paved, like a cobbled street. Ronora lab grown diamonds are real CVD stones, VVS clarity, D-E-F colorless; some pave rings here are set with moissanite, stated on each product page.

What is the difference between pave and micro pave?

Scale. Standard pave uses stones around 1 to 2 millimetres. Micro pave uses stones below 1 millimetre, set in far greater numbers, which produces a smoother and more continuous surface but requires more skilled hand setting.

Does a pave band lose stones?

Well-set pave is secure, but it is a more delicate setting than bezel or channel because the beads holding each stone are small. Ronora sets pave by hand and includes free lifetime warranty; a ring worn during heavy manual work is better served by a bezel setting.

Frequently asked questions

Can a pave band be resized? Partly. A band set across the top only can usually be resized from the plain underside. A fully pave band cannot be resized far without disturbing the setting.

Does pave make the centre stone look bigger? Yes. A pave shank narrows the visual frame around the centre, which makes the centre stone read larger than it does on a plain band.

Paved One Stone At A Time

Paved One Stone At A Time

Real pave is slow work: dozens of tiny seats drilled, dozens of stones set, dozens of beads raised by hand. Machines fake it faster. We do not.

The little diamonds are where corners get cut elsewhere. Every pave stone here is D to F color and VVS to VS clarity, because a sparkling band should survive a loupe.

Maximum Sparkle Per Rupee

Maximum Sparkle Per Rupee

Pave delivers the most glitter per budget of any ring style, and lab grown pricing doubles the effect. The band that shimmers like it costs far more than it did.

What does pave actually mean?

It is French for paved: small diamonds set so closely along the band that the surface looks paved in light, with only tiny gold beads holding each stone.

Do pave stones fall out easily?

Well-set pave holds for decades. Our beads are raised by hand and checked stone by stone, and if you ever lose one, our aftercare replaces it.

Is pave hard to clean at home?

Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush restore the full shimmer in two minutes. No special products needed.

Pave band or plain band with a big center stone?

Pave adds sparkle along the finger and makes center stones look larger. Plain bands read quieter and clean. Your hand, your volume setting.

Are the small diamonds real lab grown stones?

Every single one, at D to F color and VVS to VS clarity. We do not swap in lesser stones where we think nobody will look.

How long does a pave ring take to make?

Hand pave is slower than plain settings, yet still ships in 7 to 10 business days from our studio, fully insured with tracking.
