This collection gathers every Ronora piece set with princess cut stones. The princess is a square brilliant: square from above, inverted pyramid from the side, with brilliant faceting that gives it fire close to a round while keeping a sharp geometric outline. Every princess cut piece here is set with real CVD lab grown diamonds, VVS-VS clarity, D-E-F colorless.
Because it wastes less rough. Cutting a round from an octahedral crystal discards roughly half the material; a princess follows the crystal's natural form far more closely. The saving is smaller for lab grown stones than mined ones, but it still shows in the price.
The four corners. They are the sharpest points on any common diamond shape and the most likely to chip if exposed. A princess should always be set with prongs covering all four corners, or set flush in a bezel.
Does it look smaller than a round? Slightly, at the same carat, since more weight sits in the depth rather than the surface.
Is it dated? It peaked in the 2000s and is less common now, which means it reads more individual than it did then.
