RINGS MADE TO ORDER
Wedding Bands | Lab Grown Diamond | 14K Solid Gold
A wedding band is the ring exchanged at the ceremony and worn every day afterwards. Because it is never taken off, it is judged on comfort and durability more than on sparkle. Every Ronora wedding band is set with real CVD lab grown diamonds, VVS clarity, D-E-F colorless, made to order in 10K, 14K or 18K solid gold or platinum.
How wide should a wedding band be?
Most women's bands sit between 1.5mm and 3mm, and most men's between 4mm and 7mm. A wider band feels more substantial but sits tighter, so many people size up a quarter size when choosing anything above 5mm.
Should the band match the engagement ring?
It does not have to. A contoured or curved band nests against a raised setting, and a straight band suits a low-profile solitaire. Mixed metals are common now, so a yellow gold band beside a white gold engagement ring is a deliberate look rather than a mistake.
Frequently asked questions
Can a wedding band be resized later? A plain band or one set across the top can usually be resized. A band with diamonds running the full way round cannot.
Which metal wears hardest? Platinum is the most durable and does not need replating. 14K gold is harder than 18K, so it resists scratching better while still holding a rich colour.
